அதை எடுத்துச் சுற்றிக்கொண்டு போனபின்பு, கர்த்தருடைய கை அந்தப் பட்டணத்தின்மேல் மகா உக்கிரமாக இறங்கிற்று; அந்தப் பட்டணத்தின் மனுஷருக்குள், சிறியவர் துவக்கிப் பெரியவர்மட்டும், மூலவியாதியை உண்டாக்கி, அவர்களை வாதித்தார்.

அதை எடுத்துச் சுற்றிக்கொண்டு போனபின்பு, கர்த்தருடைய கை அந்தப் பட்டணத்தின்மேல் கடுங்கோபமாக இறங்கினது; அந்தப் பட்டணத்தின் மனிதருக்குள் சிறியவர் துவங்கிப் பெரியவர்வரை மூலவியாதியை உண்டாக்கி, அவர்களை வாதித்தார்.

ஆனால் தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தப் பெட்டியை காத் நகரம் வரைக்கும் பெலிஸ்தர்கள் எடுத்துச் சென்றதும், காத் நகரை கர்த்தர் தண்டித்தார். ஜனங்கள் மிகவும் கலக்கமுற்றனர். இளைஞர் முதியவர் என அனைவருக்கும் தேவன் தொல்லைகளை ஏற்படுத்தினார். தேவன் அங்குள்ளவர்களுக்கும் தோல் கட்டிகளை தந்தார்.
