அப்பொழுது சமையற்காரன், ஒரு முன்னந்தொடையையும், அதனோடிருந்ததையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு வந்து, அதை சவுலுக்குமுன் வைத்தான்; அப்பொழுது சாமுவேல்: இதோ, இது உனக்கென்று வைக்கப்பட்டது, இதை உனக்கு முன்பாக வைத்துச் சாப்பிடு; நான் ஜனங்களை விருந்துக்கு அழைத்ததுமுதல், இதுவரைக்கும் இது உனக்காக வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது என்றான்; அப்படியே சவுல் அன்றையதினம் சாமுவேலோடே சாப்பிட்டான்.
