தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைத் தேடவும், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படியும் கற்பனையின்படியும் செய்யவும் யூதாவுக்குக் கற்பித்து,

ஆகையால் ஓய்வுநாளுக்குமுன்னே எருசலேமின் பட்டணவாசலில், மாலைமயங்கும்போது, கதவுகளைப்பூட்டவும், ஓய்வுநாள் முடியுமட்டும் அவைகளைத் திறவாதிருக்கவும் வேண்டுமென்று கட்டளையிட்டு, ஓய்வுநாளிலே ஒரு சுமையும் உள்ளே வராதபடிக்கு வாசலண்டையிலே என் வேலைக்காரரில் சிலரை நிறுத்தினேன்.
