அவர்கள் ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியாவினிடத்தில் போய்: நாங்கள் கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்தையும், சர்வாங்க தகனபலிபீடத்தையும், அதினுடைய சகல பணிமுட்டுகளையும், சமுகத்தப்பங்களின் மேஜையையும், அதின் சகல பணிமுட்டுகளையும் சுத்திகரித்து,

பிறகு அவர்கள் எசேக்கியா அரசனிடம் சென்றனர். அவர்கள் அவனிடம், “எசேக்கியா அரசனே! கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயம் முழுவதையும் சுத்தம் செய்துவிட்டோம். தகனபலி கொடுக்க பலிபீடத்தையும் மற்ற பொருட்களையும் தயார் செய்துவிட்டோம். சமூகத்தப்பங்களின் மேஜையையும் அதன் சகல பணிமூட்டுகளையும் சுத்தம் செய்துவிட்டோம்.
