அவர்கள் அவனுடைய ஆலயத்தைத் தீக்கொளுத்தி, எருசலேமின் அலங்கத்தை இடித்து, அதின் மாளிகைகளையெல்லாம் அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரித்து, அதிலிருந்த திவ்வியமான பணிமுட்டுகளையெல்லாம் அழித்தார்கள்.
