இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, தேவரீர் என் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது என்னும் உமது அடியானை நோக்கி: நீ எனக்கு முன்பாக நடந்ததுபோல, உன் குமாரரும் என் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தில் நடக்கும்படி தங்கள் வழியைக் காப்பார்களேயானால், இஸ்ரவேலின் சிங்காசனத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கும் புருஷன் எனக்கு முன்பாக உனக்கு இல்லாமற்போவதில்லை என்று சொன்னதை இப்பொழுது அவனுக்கு நிறைவேற்றும்.

இப்பொழுது, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரனான தாவீதிற்குத் தந்த வாக்குறுதியைக் காப்பாற்றும். நீர், ‘தாவீது, என் முன்னிலையில் இஸ்ரவேலரின் சிங்காசனத்தில் உனது குடும்பத்திலிருந்து ஒருவனை அமரச்செய்வதில் நீ தோல்வி அடையமாட்டாய். தாங்கள் செய்வதில் உன் மகன்கள் கவனமாக இருந்தால் தான் இது நடைபெறும். அவர்கள் எனது சட்டங்களுக்கு நீ அடிபணிந்தது போலவே பணியவேண்டும்’ என்று வாக்குறுதி கொடுத்தீர்.
