ஓசெயா எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய சோ என்பவனிடத்துக்கு ஸ்தானாபதிகளை அனுப்பினதும், தனக்கு வருஷந்தோறும் செய்ததுபோல், பகுதி அனுப்பாதே போனதுமான கலக யோசனையை அசீரியாவின் ராஜா ஓசெயாவினிடத்திலே கண்டு, அவனைப் பிடித்துக் கட்டிச் சிறைச்சாலையிலே வைத்தான்.

ஓசெயா எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய சோ என்பவனிடத்திற்கு பிரதிநிதிகளை அனுப்பினதும், தனக்கு வருடந்தோறும் செய்ததுபோல், வரி செலுத்தாமல் போனதுமான கலக யோசனையை அசீரியாவின் ராஜா ஓசெயாவினிடத்திலே கண்டு, அவனைப் பிடித்துக் கட்டிச் சிறைச்சாலையிலே வைத்தான்.

ஆனால், பிறகு ஓசெயா தனக்கு எதிராகச் சதி செய்வதை அசீரியா அரசன் அறிந்துகொண்டான். ஓசெயா எகிப்து அரசனுக்குத் தூதுவர்களை அனுப்பியிருந்தான். எகிப்து அரசனின் பெயர் சோ ஆகும். அந்த ஆண்டில், முன்னைய ஆண்டுகளை போன்று ஓசெயா சல்மனாசாருக்கு வரி செலுத்தவில்லை. அதனால் சல்மனாசார் ஓசெயாவைப் பிடித்து சிறையில்போட்டான்.
