இந்த ஆலயத்திலும், நான் இஸ்ரவேலின் சகல கோத்திரங்களிலுமிருந்து தெரிந்துகொண்ட எருசலேமிலும், என் நாமத்தை என்றைக்கும் விளங்கப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் தாவீதோடும் அவன் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோனோடும் சொல்லிக் குறித்த ஆலயத்திலே அவன் பண்ணின தோப்புவிக்கிரகத்தை வைத்தான்.

அசெராவின் உருவம் செதுக்கிய சிலை ஒன்றை அவன் உருவாக்கினான். அதனை ஆலயத்தில் நிறுவினான். கர்த்தர் இந்த ஆலயத்தைப்பற்றி தாவீதிடமும் அவன் மகன் சாலொமோனிடமும், “இஸ்ரவேலிலுள்ள மற்ற நகரங்களை எல்லாம் விட்டு விட்டு எருசலேமைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தேன். இந்நகரத்திலுள்ள ஆலயத்தில் என் பெயரை எப்போதும் விளங்கவைப்பேன்.
