அவன் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்து, தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதின் வழியிலெல்லாம் வலது இடதுபுறம் விலகாமல் நடந்தான்.

கர்த்தர் நல்லதென்று சொன்ன தன்படியே இவன் வாழ்ந்து வந்தான். தன் முற்பிதாவான தாவீது போலவே தேவனை பின்பற்றினான். யோசியா தேவனுடைய போதனைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்தான். தேவன் விரும்பியவற்றைக் கொஞ்சம் கூட மாற்றவில்லை.
