மரணமடைந்த அவனை அவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரர் ரதத்தின்மேல் ஏற்றி, மெகிதோவிலிருந்து எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்து, அவனை அவன் கல்லறையில் அடக்கம்பண்ணினார்கள்; அப்பொழுது தேசத்தின் ஜனங்கள் யோசியாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோவாகாசை அழைத்து, அவனை அபிஷேகம்பண்ணி, அவன் தகப்பன் ஸ்தானத்தில் அவனை ராஜாவாக்கினார்கள்.
