கேயாசி அவர்களுக்கு முன்னே போய், அந்தத் தடியைப் பிள்ளையின் முகத்தின்மேல் வைத்தான்; ஆனாலும் சத்தமும் இல்லை, உணர்ச்சியும் இல்லை; ஆகையால் அவன் திரும்பி அவனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுவந்து: பிள்ளை விழிக்கவில்லை என்று அவனுக்கு அறிவித்தான்.

கேயாசி அவர்களுக்கு முன்னே போய், அந்தத் தடியைச் சிறுவனின் முகத்தின்மேல் வைத்தான்; ஆனாலும் சத்தமும் இல்லை, உணர்ச்சியும் இல்லை; ஆகையால் அவன் திரும்பி அவனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டு வந்து: சிறுவன் கண் விழிக்கவில்லை என்று அவனுக்கு அறிவித்தான்.

அவர்களுக்கு முன்னால் கேயாசி அப்பெண்ணின் வீட்டை அடைந்தான். அவன் கைத்தடியை பிள்ளையின் முகத்தில் வைத்தான். ஆனால் அந்தக் குழந்தை பேசவோ பேச்சுக்கு பதிலாக அசையவோ இல்லை. எனவே கேயாசி எலிசாவிடம் ஓடிவந்து, “குழந்தை இன்னும் எழுந்திருக்கவில்லை!” என்று கூறினான்.
