அப்பொழுது அவன் இறங்கி, தேவனுடைய மனுஷன் வார்த்தையின்படியே யோர்தானில் ஏழுதரம் முழுகினபோது, அவன் மாம்சம் ஒரு சிறுபிள்ளையின் மாம்சத்தைப்போல மாறி, அவன் சுத்தமானான்.

அப்பொழுது அவன் இறங்கி, தேவனுடைய மனிதனின் வார்த்தையின்படியே யோர்தானில் ஏழுமுறை முழுகினபோது, அவனுடைய சரீரம் ஒரு சிறுபிள்ளையின் சரீரத்தைப்போல புதிதாகி, அவன் சுத்தமானான்.

எனவே நாகமான் தேவமனிதன் (தீர்க்கதரிசி எலிசா) சொன்னவாறு செய்தான். அவன் போய் யோர்தான் ஆற்றில் ஏழு தடவை மூழ்கி சுத்தமானான்! அவனது தோல் குழந்தையின் தோலைப் போன்று மென்மையாயிற்று.
