அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் மனுஷர் எல்லாரும் தாவீதை விட்டுப் பின்வாங்கி, பிக்கிரியின் குமாரனாகிய சேபாவைப் பின்பற்றிப் போனார்கள்; யோர்தான் தொடங்கி எருசலேம்மட்டுமுள்ள யூதாமனுஷர் தங்கள் ராஜாவைச் சார்ந்திருந்தார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் மனிதர்கள் எல்லோரும் தாவீதைவிட்டுப் பிரிந்து, பிக்கிரியின் மகனான சேபாவைப் பின்பற்றிப் போனார்கள்; யோர்தான் தொடங்கி எருசலேம் வரையுள்ள யூதா மனிதர்கள் தங்கள் ராஜாவைச் சார்ந்திருந்தார்கள்.

எனவே இஸ்ரவேலர் எல்லோரும் தாவீதை விட்டு பிக்கிரியின் மகனாகிய சேபாவைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள். ஆனால் யூதா ஜனங்கள் யோர்தான் ஆற்றிலிருந்து எருசலேம்வரைக்கும் வருகிற வழியில் எல்லாம் அவர்களுடைய அரசனோடு தங்கியிருந்தனர்.
