ஆனாலும் தாவீதும் சவுலின் குமாரனாகிய யோனத்தானும் கர்த்தரைக்கொண்டு இட்ட ஆணையினிமித்தம், ராஜா சவுலின் குமாரனாகிய யோனத்தானின் மகன் மேவிபோசேத்தைத் தப்பவிட்டு,

ஆனால் அரசன் யோனத்தானின் மகனாகிய மேவிபோசேத்தைப் பாதுகாத்தான். யோனத்தான் சவுலின் மகன். ஆனால் கர்த்தருடைய பெயரில் யோனத்தானுக்கு தாவீது ஒரு வாக்குறுதி அளித்திருந்தான். ஆகையால் அரசன் மேவிபோசேத்தை அவர்கள் துன்புறுத்தாதபடி பார்த்துக்கொண்டான்.
