ஸ்தேவான் நிமித்தமாய் எழும்பின உபத்திரவத்தினாலே சிதறப்பட்டவர்கள் சுவிசேஷ வசனத்தை யூதர்களுக்கேயன்றி மற்ற ஒருவருக்கும் அறிவியாமல், பெனிக்கேநாடு, சீப்புரு தீவு, அந்தியோகியா பட்டணம்வரைக்கும் சுற்றித்திரிந்தார்கள்.

ஸ்தேவான் கொல்லப்பட்ட பிறகு விளைந்த துன்பங்களினால் விசுவாசிகள் சிதறுண்டனர். தூரத்து இடங்களாகிய பெனிக்கே, சீப்புரு, அந்தியோகியா போன்ற இடங்களுக்குச் சில விசுவாசிகள் சென்றனர். விசுவாசிகள் நற்செய்தியை இந்த இடங்களிலெல்லாம் கூறினர். ஆனால் யூதர்களுக்கு மட்டுமே அவ்வாறு செய்தார்கள்.
