நீ ஷிபோலேத் என்று சொல் என்பார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவன் அப்படி உச்சரிக்கக் கூடாமல், சிபோலேத் என்பான்; அப்பொழுது அவனைப் பிடித்து, யோர்தான் துறையிலே வெட்டிப்போடுவார்கள்; அக்காலத்திலே எப்பிராயீமில் நாற்பத்தீராயிரம்பேர் விழுந்தார்கள்.

அவர்கள், “‘ஷிபோலேத்’ என்று சொல்லு” என்பார்கள். எப்பிராயீம் மனிதரால் அந்த வார்த்தையைச் சரியாக உச்சரிக்க முடியாமல் அவர்கள் அதை, “சிபோலேத்” என்றனர். ஒருவன் “சிபோலேத்” என்று கூறினால் அவன் எப்பிராயீமைச் சேர்ந்தவன் என்று கண்டு, கீலேயாத் மனிதர்கள் நதியைக் கடக்கும் இடத்தில் அவனைக் கொன்றுவிடுவார்கள். எப்பிராயீம் ஆட்களில் 42,000 பேரை இவ்வாறு கொன்றார்கள்.
