அப்பொழுது பென்யமீன் புத்திரர் ஜனத்திற்கு விரோதமாய்ப் புறப்பட்டுப் பட்டணத்தை விட்டு, அப்பாலே வந்து, வெளியிலே பெத்தேலுக்கும் கிபியாவுக்கும் போகிற இரண்டு வழிகளில் இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனத்தில் ஏறக்குறைய முப்பது பேரை, முதல் இரண்டுதரம் செய்தது போல, வெட்டவும் கொல்லவும் தொடங்கினார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது பென்யமீன் மக்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு எதிராகப் புறப்பட்டுப் பட்டணத்தை விட்டு, கடந்து வந்து, வெளியிலே பெத்தேலுக்கும் கிபியாவுக்கும் போகிற இரண்டு வழிகளில் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களில் ஏறக்குறைய முப்பதுபேரை, முதல் இரண்டுதரம் செய்ததுபோல, வெட்டவும் கொல்லவும் தொடங்கினார்கள்.

பென்யமீன் சேனை இஸ்ரவேல் சேனையோடு போர் செய்வதற்காக கிபியா நகரை விட்டு வெளியே வந்தது இஸ்ரவேல் சேனை பின்னிட்டுத் தங்களைப் பென்யமீன் சேனை துரத்தும்படி செய்தது. இவ்வாறாக நகரை விட்டு சேனை வெகு தூரம் வரும்படியாக பென்யமீன் சேனைக்கு எதிராக தந்திரம் செய்யப்பட்டது. ஏற்கெனவே செய்தது போன்று பென்யமீன் சேனை இஸ்ரவேல் சேனையில் சில மனிதர்களைக் கொல்ல ஆரம்பித்தனர். சுமார் 30 இஸ்ரவேல் மனிதர்களை அவர்கள் கொன்றனர். வயல்களில் சிலரையும், பாதைகளில் சிலரையும் கொன்றனர். ஒரு பாதை பெத்தேல் நகரத்திற்கும் மற்றொருபாதை கிபியாவிற்கும் சென்றது.

பென்யமின் மக்கள் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களை எதிர்க்க வெளியே வந்தனர். அவர்கள் நகரிலிருந்து வெகு தொலைவுக்கு வந்து விட்டனர். முன்புபோல் இம்முறையும் அவர்கள் பெத்தேலுக்கு செல்லும் நெடுஞ்சாலையிலும், கிபயாவுக்குச் செல்லும் நெடுஞ்சாலையிலும் தாக்கத் துவங்கித் திறந்த வெளியில் ஏறக்குறைய முப்பது பேரைக் கொன்றனர்.
