அவன் போஜனபலியின் மெல்லிய மாவிலும் அதின் எண்ணெயிலும் தன் கைப்பிடி நிறைய எடுத்து, போஜனபலியின்மேலுள்ள தூபவர்க்கம் யாவற்றோடும்கூட அதை ஞாபகக் குறியாகப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் கர்த்தருக்குச் சுகந்த வாசனையாகத் தகனிக்கக்கடவன்.

அவன், உணவுபலியின் மெல்லிய மாவிலும் அதின் எண்ணெயிலும் தன் கைப்பிடி நிறைய எடுத்து, உணவுபலியின்மேலுள்ள தூபவர்க்கம் யாவற்றோடும் கூட அதை நன்றியின் அடையாளமாகப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் கர்த்தருக்கு நறுமண வாசனையாக எரிக்கக்கடவன்.

தானியக் காணிக்கையிலிருந்து மிருதுவான மாவினை ஒரு கையளவு ஆசாரியன் எடுக்க வேண்டும். எண்ணெயும், சாம்பிராணியும் அத்தானியக் காணிக்கையின்மேல் இருக்க வேண்டும். பலிபீடத்தின் மேல் தானியக் காணிக்கையை ஆசாரியன் எரிக்க வேண்டும். இது கர்த்தருக்காக ஞாபகக் காணிக்கையாக இருக்கும். அதன் வாசனை கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரியமானதாக இருக்கும்.

And he shall take of it his handful, of the flour of the meat offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the frankincense which is upon the meat offering, and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savor, even the memorial of it, unto the LORD.

And he shall take up therefrom his handful, of the fine flour of the meal-offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the frankincense which is upon the meal-offering, and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savor, as the memorial thereof, unto Jehovah.
