சிறைப்படுத்திக்கொண்டு போகிறவன் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போவான்; பட்டயத்தினாலே கொல்லுகிறவன் பட்டயத்தினாலே கொல்லப்படவேண்டும். பரிசுத்தவான்களுடைய பொறுமையும் விசுவாசமும் இதிலே விளங்கும்.

எவனொருவன் சிறைப்படுத்திக்கொண்டு போகிறானோ அவன் சிறைபட்டுப் போவான். எவனொருவன் வாளால் கொல்பவனாக இருக்கிறானோ அவன் வாளால் கொல்லப்பட்டுப் போவான். இதன் பொருள், “தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தவான்கள் பொறுமையும் விசுவாசமும் கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும்” என்பதாகும்.
