முதலாம் தூதன் போய், தன் கலசத்திலுள்ளதைப் பூமியின்மேல் ஊற்றினான்; உடனே மிருகத்தின் முத்திரையைத் தரித்தவர்களும் அதின் சொரூபத்தை வணங்குகிறவர்களுமாகிய மனுஷர்களுக்குப் பொல்லாத கொடிய புண்ணுண்டாயிற்று.

முதல் தேவதூதன் போனான். அவன் தன் கிண்ணத்தில் இருந்ததை பூமியில் ஊற்றினான். பிறகு மிருகத்தின் அடையாளத்தை உடையவர்களும் அதன் உருவச்சிலையை வணங்கியவர்களுமாகிய மக்கள் அனைவருக்கும் அசிங்கமானதும் வேதனைமிக்கதுமான கொப்புளங்கள் உண்டாயின.
