கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப்பெட்டி தாவீதின் நகரமட்டும் வந்தபோது, சவுலின் குமாரத்தியாகிய மீகாள் பலகணிவழியாய்ப் பார்த்து, தாவீதுராஜா ஆடிப்பாடி வருகிறதைக் கண்டு, அவனைத் தன் இருதயத்திலே அவமதித்தாள்.

கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப்பெட்டி, தாவீதின் நகரம்வரை வந்தபோது, சவுலின் மகளாகிய மீகாள் பலகணி வழியாகப் பார்த்து, தாவீது ராஜா ஆடிப்பாடி வருகிறதைக் கண்டு, அவனைத் தன்னுடைய இருதயத்தில் அவமதித்தாள்.

உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியானது தாவீதின் நகரத்திற்குள் வந்தபோது, தன் ஜன்னலின் வழியாக மீகாள் பார்த்தாள். மீகாள் சவுலின் மகள். அரசனான தாவீது ஆடிப்பாடி வருவதையும் கண்டாள். அவளுக்குத் தாவீது மீது இருந்த மரியாதை போயிற்று. அவனை அவள், ஒரு முட்டாளாக எண்ணினாள்.

ஆண்டவரின் உடன்படிக்கைப் பேழை தாவீதின் நகரை அடைந்த போது, சவுலின் புதல்வி மீக்கால் சன்னல் வழியாக எட்டிப்பார்த்தாள். அப்பொழுது, தாவீது அரசர் அக்களித்து ஆடிக்கொண்டிருந்ததைக் கண்டு அவரைத் தன்னுள்ளத்தில் இகழ்ந்தாள்.
