ஆகையால் தாவீது ஏதோமிலே தாணையம் போட்டான்; ஏதோமியர் எல்லாரும் அவனைச் சேவிக்கிறவர்களானார்கள்; தாவீது போன இடத்திலெல்லாம் கர்த்தர் அவனைக் காப்பாற்றினார்.

அவர் ஏதோமில் பாளையங்களை அமைத்தார். ஏதோமியர் யாவரும் தாவீதுக்கு அடிமைகளாயினர். தாவீது சென்ற இடமெல்லாம் ஆண்டவர் அவருக்கு வெற்றி அளித்தார்.⒫
