பின்பு அதிலிருந்த ஜனங்களை அவன் வெளியே கொண்டுபோய், அவர்களை வாள்களுக்கும், இருப்புப்பாரைகளுக்கும், கோடரிகளுக்கும் உட்படுத்தி; இப்படி அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் பட்டணங்களுக்கெல்லாம் தாவீது செய்து, எல்லா ஜனத்தோடுங்கூட எருசலேமுக்குத் திரும்பினான்.

தாவீது ரப்பாவிலிருந்து ஜனங்களைக் கூட்டிவந்து அவர்களைப் பலவந்தமாக ரம்பம், இரும்பு, ஊசிகள், கோடரி போன்றவற்றால் வேலைசெய்ய வைத்தான். தாவீது இதனை அனைத்து அம்மோனிய நகரங்களின் ஜனங்களுக்கும் விதித்தான். பிறகு தாவீதும், அவனது படையும் எருசலேமுக்குத் திரும்பியது.

தாவீது அங்குக் குடியிருந்த மக்களைச் சிறைப்படுத்தி இரம்பம், கடப்பாரை, கோடரி ஆகியவற்றால் அவர்களை வேலை செய்ய வைத்தார். தாவீது அம்மோனியரின் எல்லா நகர் மக்களுக்கும் இவ்விதமே செய்தார். பின்னர், அவர்தம் மக்கள் அனைவருடனும் எருசலேமுக்குத் திரும்பினார்.
