ஜனத்தை இலக்கம்பார்த்து, தொகையைத் தாவீதிடத்தில் கொடுத்தான்; இஸ்ரவேலிலெல்லாம் பட்டயம் உருவத்தக்கவர்கள் பதினொருலட்சம்பேரும், யூதாவில் பட்டயம் உருவத்தக்கவர்கள் நாலுலட்சத்து எழுபதினாயிரம்பேரும் இருந்தார்கள்.

போர் வீரர்களைக் கணக்கெடுத்து, எண்ணிக்கையை தாவீதிடம் கொடுத்தான்; இஸ்ரவேலெங்கும் பட்டயம் எடுக்கத்தக்கவர்கள் பதினொரு லட்சம்பேர்களும், யூதாவில் பட்டயம் எடுக்கத்தக்கவர்கள் நான்குலட்சத்து எழுபதாயிரம்பேர்களும் இருந்தார்கள்.
