எப்ரோனியரில் அசபியாவும் அவன் சகோதரருமாகிய ஆயிரத்து எழுநூறுபராக்கிரமசாலிகள் யோர்தானுக்கு இப்பாலே, மேற்கே இருக்கிற இஸ்ரவேலின் கர்த்தருடைய எல்லா ஊழியத்திற்கும் ராஜாவின் வேலைக்கும், கீழ்ப்பட்டார்கள்.

எப்ரோன் குடும்பத்தில் அசபியா தோன்றினான். இவனும் இவனது உறவினர்களும் கர்த்தருக்கான வேலைகள் அனைத்துக்கும் பொறுப்பாளிகளாக இருந்தனர். யோர்தான் ஆற்றுக்கு மேற்கே உள்ள இஸ்ரவேல் பகுதியில் அரசனது வேலைகளையும் கவனித்துக் கொண்டனர். 1,700 பலமிக்கவர்கள் அசபியாவின் குழுவில் இருந்தனர்.
