அவர் என்னை நோக்கி: உன் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோனே என் ஆலயத்தையும் என் பிரகாரங்களையும் கட்டக்கடவன்; அவனை எனக்குக் குமாரனாகத் தெரிந்துகொண்டேன்; நான் அவனுக்குப் பிதாவாயிருப்பேன்.

கர்த்தர் என்னிடம், ‘தாவீது, உன் மகனான சாலொமோன் எனக்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவான். அதைச் சுற்றிய இடங்களையும் கட்டுவான். ஏனென்றால் நான் அவனை எனது மகனாகத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்திருக்கிறேன். நான் அவனது தந்தையாக இருப்பேன்.
