ஜெபஆலயத்தலைவனாகிய கிறிஸ்பு என்பவன் தன் வீட்டார் அனைவரோடும் கர்த்தரிடத்தில் விசுவாசமுள்ளவனானான். கொரிந்தியரில் அநேகரும் சுவிசேஷத்தைக் கேட்டு, விசுவாசித்து, ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றார்கள்.

என்னையும் சபையனைத்தையும் உபசரித்துவருகிற காயு உங்களை வாழ்த்துகிறான். பட்டணத்து உக்கிராணக்காரனாகிய ஏரஸ்தும், சகோதரனாகிய குவர்த்தும் உங்களை வாழ்த்துகிறார்கள்.

கிறிஸ்துவைப்பற்றிய சாட்சி உங்களுக்குள்ளே ஸ்திரப்படுத்தப்பட்டபடியே,

உங்களெல்லாரிலும் நான் அதிகமாய்ப் பாஷைகளைப் பேசுகிறேன், இதற்காக என் தேவனை ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கிறேன்.

கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் எப்பொழுதும் எங்களை வெற்றிசிறக்கப்பண்ணி, எல்லா இடங்களிலேயும் எங்களைக்கொண்டு அவரை அறிகிற அறிவின் வாசனையை வெளிப்படுத்துகிற தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்.

நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் நாமத்தினாலே எப்பொழுதும் எல்லாவற்றிற்காகவும் பிதாவாகிய தேவனை ஸ்தோத்திரித்து,

தேவசமாதானம் உங்கள் இருதயங்களில் ஆளக்கடவது, இதற்கென்றே நீங்கள் ஒரே சரீரமாக அழைக்கப்பட்டீர்கள்; நன்றியறிதலுள்ளவர்களாயுமிருங்கள்.

வார்த்தையினாலாவது கிரியையினாலாவது, நீங்கள் எதைச் செய்தாலும், அதையெல்லாம் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவின் நாமத்தினாலே செய்து, அவர் முன்னிலையாகப் பிதாவாகிய தேவனை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்.

எல்லாவற்றிலேயும் ஸ்தோத்திரஞ்செய்யுங்கள்; அப்படிச் செய்வதே கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் உங்களைக்குறித்துத் தேவனுடைய சித்தமாயிருக்கிறது.

என்னைப் பலப்படுத்துகிற நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்து என்னை உண்மையுள்ளவனென்றெண்ணி, இந்த ஊழியத்திற்கு ஏற்படுத்தினபடியால், அவரை ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கிறேன்.

கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவினிடத்திலும், எல்லாப் பரிசுத்தவான்களிடத்திலும் உம்முடைய அன்பையும் உம்முடைய விசுவாசத்தையும் நான் கேள்விப்பட்டு,

மூப்பனாகிய நான் சத்தியத்தின்படி நேசிக்கிற பிரியமான காயுவுக்கு எழுதுகிறதாவது:
