நாம் நியாயந்தீர்க்கப்படும்போது உலகத்தோடே ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கப்படாதபடிக்கு, கர்த்தராலே சிட்சிக்கப்படுகிறோம்.

ஆனால், தேவன் நம்மை நியாயம் தீர்க்கும்போது, நமக்குச் சரியான வழியைக் காட்டும்படி நமக்குத் தண்டனை அளிக்கிறார். நாம் இந்த உலகத்திலுள்ள பிற மனிதரோடு குற்றம் சாட்டப்படாதபடிக்கு தேவன் இதைச் செய்கிறார்.

இப்போது ஆண்டவர் நம்மைத் தீர்ப்புக்கு ஆளாக்கினால் அது நம்மைத் தண்டித்துத் திருத்துவதற்கே. உலகத்தோடு நாமும் தண்டனைத் தீர்ப்பு அடையாதிருக்கவே இப்படிச் செய்கிறார்.⒫
