நான் தீர்க்கதரிசன வரத்தை உடையவனாயிருந்து, சகல இரகசியங்களையும், சகல அறிவையும் அறிந்தாலும், மலைகளைப் பேர்க்கத்தக்கதாக சகல விசுவாசமுள்ளவனாயிருந்தாலும், அன்பு எனக்கிராவிட்டால் நான் ஒன்றுமில்லை.

நான் தீர்க்கதரிசன வரத்தை உடையவனாக இருந்து, எல்லா இரகசியங்களையும், எல்லா அறிவையும் அறிந்தாலும், மலைகளைப் பெயர்க்கத்தக்கதாக விசுவாசமும் உள்ளவனாக இருந்தாலும், அன்பு இல்லையென்றால் நான் ஒன்றுமில்லை.

Tamil Easy Reading Version
தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைக்கும் வரம் எனக்கு இருக்கலாம். தேவனுடைய இரகசியமான காரியங்களை நான் உணர்ந்துகொள்ளக் கூடும். எல்லாம் அறிந்திருக்கக்கூடும். மலைகளை அசைக்க வல்ல அரிய விசுவாசம் எனக்கு இருக்கக் கூடும். ஆனால் இவையிருந்தும் என்னிடம் அன்பு இல்லையானால் மேற்கண்ட செய்கைகளைச் செய்வதால் எனக்கு எவ்வித பயனுமில்லை.

⁽இறைவாக்கு உரைக்கும் ஆற்றல்␢ எனக்கு இருப்பினும், மறைபொருள்கள்␢ அனைத்தையும் அறிந்தவனாய் இருப்பினும், § அறிவெல்லாம் பெற்றிருப்பினும்,␢ மலைகளை இடம்பெயரச்␢ செய்யும் அளவுக்கு நிறைந்த␢ நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருப்பினும்␢ என்னிடம் அன்பு இல்லையேல்␢ நான் ஒன்றுமில்லை.⁾
