அப்படியே புல்லாங்குழல், சுரமண்டலம் முதலாகிய சத்தமிடுகிற உயிரில்லாத வாத்தியங்கள் தொனிகளில் வித்தியாசம் காட்டாவிட்டால், குழலாலே ஊதப்படுகிறதும், சுரமண்டலத்தாலே வாசிக்கப்படுகிறதும் இன்னதென்று எப்படித் தெரியும்?

குழல், வீணை ஆகிய உயிரற்ற பொருட்கள் ஒலியெழுப்புவதைப் போன்று அது அமைந்துவிடும். வெவ்வேறு விதமான இசையொலிகள் தெளிவாக எழுப்பப்படாவிட்டால், இசைக்கும் இசையை நீங்கள் புரிந்துகொள்ள இயலாது. இசையைப் புரிந்துகொள்வதற்கு ஒவ்வொரு ராகமும் தெளிவாக மீட்டப்படுதல் வேண்டும்.
