புருஷன் தன் மனைவிக்குச் செய்யவேண்டிய கடமையைச் சφய்யக்கடவன்; அப்படியே மனைவியும் தன் புருஷனுக்குச் செய்யக்கடவள்.

ஒரு மனைவி என்கிற அளவில் எவற்றையெல்லாம் கணவனிடமிருந்து பெறக்கூடுமோ, அவை அனைத்தையும் கணவன் அவனது மனைவிக்கு வழங்கவேண்டும். அவ்வாறே ஒரு கணவன் என்கிற அளவில் எவற்றையெல்லாம் மனைவியிடமிருந்து பெறக் கூடுமோ அவை அனைத்தையும் மனைவி தன் கணவனுக்கு வழங்குதல் வேண்டும்.
