தன் ஜீவனை இரட்சிக்க விரும்புகிறவன் அதை இழந்துபோவான், என்னிமித்தமாகவும் சுவிசேஷத்தினிமித்தமாகவும் தன் ஜீவனை இழந்து போகிறவன் அதை இரட்சித்துக்கொள்ளுவான்.

இந்த வார்த்தை உண்மையுள்ளது; என்னவெனில், நாம் அவரோடேகூட மரித்தோமானால், அவரோடேகூடப் பிழைத்துமிருப்போம்;

நாம் ஆரம்பத்திலே கொண்ட நம்பிக்கையை முடிவுபரியந்தம் உறுதியாய்ப்பற்றிக்கொண்டிருப்போமாகில், கிறிஸ்துவினிடத்தில் பங்குள்ளவர்களாயிருப்போம்.

மற்றவர்கள் உங்களிடத்திலே இந்த அதிகாரத்தைச் செலுத்தினால், அவர்களிலும் நாங்கள் அதிகமாய்ச் செலுத்தலாமல்லவா? அப்படியிருந்தும், கிறிஸ்துவின் சுவிசேஷத்திற்கு யாதொரு தடையும் உண்டாகாதபடிக்கு, நாங்கள் இந்த அதிகாரத்தைச் செலுத்தாமல் எல்லாப் பாடும் படுகிறோம்.

இப்படியிருக்க, பரம அழைப்புக்குப் பங்குள்ளவர்களாகிய பரிசுத்த சகோதரரே, நாம் அறிக்கைபண்ணுகிற அப்போஸ்தலரும் பிரதான ஆசாரியருமாயிருக்கிற கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவைக் கவனித்துப்பாருங்கள்;

உங்களிலுள்ள மூப்பருக்கு உடன்மூப்பனும், கிறிஸ்துவின் பாடுகளுக்குச் சாட்சியும், இனி வெளிப்படும் மகிமைக்குப் பங்காளியுமாயிருக்கிற நான் புத்திசொல்லுகிறதென்னவென்றால்:

நீங்களும் எங்களோடே ஐக்கியமுள்ளவர்களாகும்படி, நாங்கள் கண்டும் கேட்டும் இருக்கிறதை உங்களுக்கும் அறிவிக்கிறோம்; எங்களுடைய ஐக்கியம் பிதாவோடும் அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவோடும் இருக்கிறது.
