அவர் ஒளியிலிருக்கிறதுபோல நாமும் ஒளியிலே நடந்தால் ஒருவரோடொருவர் ஐக்கியப்பட்டிருப்போம்; அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தம் சகல பாவங்களையும் நீக்கி, நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிக்கும்.

அவர் ஒளியில் இருக்கிறதுபோல நாமும் ஒளியிலே நடந்தால் ஒருவரோடொருவர் ஐக்கியம் உள்ளவர்களாக இருப்போம்; அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தம் எல்லாப் பாவங்களையும் நீக்கி, நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிக்கும்.

தேவன் ஒளியில் இருக்கிறார். நாமும் கூட ஒளியில் வாழவேண்டும். தேவன் ஒளியில் இருப்பதுபோல நாம் ஒளியில் வாழ்ந்தால் ஒருவரோடொருவர் நெருக்கமான ஐக்கியமாக இருக்கிறோம். மேலும் அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசுவின் இரத்தமானது எல்லா பாவங்களிலிருந்தும் நம்மைச் சுத்தமாக்குகிறது.

மாறாக, அவர் ஒளியில் இருப்பதுபோல் நாம் ஒளியில் நடப்போமானால், ஒருவரோடு ஒருவர் நட்புறவு கொண்டிருப்போம். மேலும், அவர் மகனாகிய இயேசுவின் இரத்தம் எல்லாப் பாவத்தினின்றும் நம்மைத் தூய்மைப்படுத்தும்.
