அதோனியா இன்றோகேலுக்குச் சமீபமான சோகெலெத் என்னும் கல்லின் அருகே ஆடுமாடுகளையும் கொழுத்த ஜந்துக்களையும் அடித்து, ராஜாவின் குமாரராகிய தன் சகோதரர் எல்லாரையும், ராஜாவின் ஊழியக்காரரான யூதாவின் மனுஷர் அனைவரையும் அழைத்தான்.

ஒரு நாள், அதோனியா இன்ரோகேலுக்கு அருகிலுள்ள சோகெலெத் என்னும் மலையில் சில ஆடுகளையும், பசுக்களையும், கொழுத்த மிருகங்களையும் கொன்று சமாதானப் பலியாகக் கொடுத்தான். அவன் தன் தந்தையின் மற்ற மகன்களான சகோதரர்களையும், யூதாவிலுள்ள அதிகாரிகளையும் அழைத்திருந்தான்.

அதன் பிறகு ஏன்ரோகேல் அருகேயுள்ள சோகலேத்து என்ற பாறையின் மேல் அதோனியா ஆடுகளையும் எருதுகளையும் கொழுத்த கன்றுகளையும் பலியிட்டான். அரசரின் மைந்தரான தன் உடன் பிறந்தார் அனைவரையும் அரச அலுவலரான யூதாவைச் சேர்ந்த அனைவரையும் அதற்கு அழைத்திருந்தான்.⒫
