ஆகையால் கர்த்தர் சாலொமோனை நோக்கி: நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட என் உடன்படிக்கையையும் என் கட்டளைகளையும் நீ கைக்கொள்ளாமற்போய் இந்தக் காரியத்தைச் செய்தபடியினால், ராஜ்யபாரத்தை உன்னிடத்திலிருந்து பிடுங்கி, அதை உன் ஊழியக்காரனுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன்.

எனவே கர்த்தர் சாலொமோனிடம், “என்னோடு செய்த உடன்படிக்கையை மீற முடிவெடுத்துவிட்டாய். நீ எனது கட்டளைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியவில்லை. எனவே உனது அரசை உன்னிடமிருந்து விலக்குவேன் என்று வாக்குறுதிக்கொடுக்கிறேன். அதனை உன் வேலைக்காரர்களில் ஒருவருக்குக் கொடுப்பேன்.
