தாவீது தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்தான் என்றும், படைத்தலைவனாகிய யோவாப் இறந்துபோனான் என்றும், எகிப்திலே ஆதாத் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, ஆதாத் பார்வோனை நோக்கி: நான் என் சுயதேசத்துக்குப் போக என்னை அனுப்பவேண்டும் என்றான்.

தாவீது தன்னுடைய முன்னோர்களோடு மரணமடைந்தான் என்றும், படைத்தலைவனாகிய யோவாப் இறந்துபோனான் என்றும், எகிப்திலே ஆதாத் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, ஆதாத் பார்வோனை நோக்கி: நான் என்னுடைய சொந்த நாட்டிற்குப்போக என்னை அனுப்பவேண்டும் என்றான்.

தாவீது, மரித்துப்போனதை ஆதாத் எகிப்தில் அறிந்தான். யோவாப் தளபதியும், மரித்துப்போனதை அறிந்துக்கொண்டான். எனவே அவன் பார்வோனிடம், “நான் என் சொந்த நாட்டுக்குப் போக அனுமதியுங்கள்” என்றான்.
