யெரொபெயாம் செய்ததும் இஸ்ரவேலைச் செய்யப்பண்ணினதுமான பாவத்தினிமித்தம் இஸ்ரவேலை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்துவிடுவார் என்றான்.

இணை வசனம்

இந்தக் காரியம் பாவமாயிற்று; ஜனங்கள் இந்த ஒரு கன்றுக்குட்டிக்காகத் தாண்மட்டும் போவார்கள்.

யெரொபெயாமின் வீட்டாரை பூமியின்மேல் வைக்காமல் அதம்பண்ணி அழிக்கும்படியாக இந்தக் காரியம் அவர்களுக்குப் பாவமாயிற்று.

அவன் ராஜாவானபின் அவன் யெரொபெயாமின் வீட்டாரையெல்லாம் வெட்டிப்போட்டான்; யெரொபெயாமுக்கு இருந்த சுவாசமுள்ளதொன்றையும் அவன் அழிக்காமல் விடவில்லை.

கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்து, யெரொபெயாமின் வழியிலும், அவன் இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின அவனுடைய பாவத்திலும் நடந்தான்.

நான் உன்னைத் தூளிலிருந்து உயர்த்தி, உன்னை என் ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் தலைவனாக வைத்திருக்கையில், நீ யெரொபெயாமின் வழியிலே நடந்து, என் ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேல் தங்கள் பாவங்களால் எனக்குக் கோபமுண்டாக்கும்படி அவர்களைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணுகிறபடியினால்,

பின்பு, மோசே ஆரோனை நோக்கி: நீ இந்த ஜனங்கள்மேல் இந்தப் பெரும்பாதகத்தைச் சுமத்துகிறதற்கு, இவர்கள் உனக்கு என்ன செய்தார்கள் என்றான்.

ஆரோன் செய்த கன்றுக்குட்டியை ஜனங்கள் செய்வித்ததின் நிமித்தம் கர்த்தர் அவர்களை உபாதித்தார்.

ஆகையால் அவர்களை அவர்கள் இருதயத்தின் கடினத்திற்கு விட்டுவிட்டேன்; தங்கள் யோசனைகளின்படி நடந்தார்கள்.

அவர்கள் திரும்ப நாட்டப்படுவதுமில்லை, விதைக்கப்படுவதுமில்லை; அவர்களுடைய அடிமரம் திரும்பப் பூமியிலே வேர்விடுவதுமில்லை; அவர்கள்மேல் அவர் ஊதவே பட்டுப்போவார்கள்; பெருங்காற்று அவர்களை ஒரு துரும்பைப்போல் அடித்துக்கொண்டுபோம்.

தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் கள்ளத்தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிறார்கள்; ஆசாரியர்கள் அவர்கள் மூலமாய் ஆளுகிறார்கள்; இப்படியிருப்பது என் ஜனத்துக்குப் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறது; ஆனாலும் முடிவிலே என்னசெய்வீர்கள்?

எப்பிராயீம் தகாத கற்பனையை மனதாரப் பின்பற்றிப்போனபடியால் அவன் ஒடுங்குண்டு, நியாயவிசாரணையில் நொறுக்கப்பட்டுப்போகிறான்.

எப்பிராயீமின் மகிமை ஒரு பறவையைப்போல் பறந்துபோம்; அது பிறப்பதுமில்லை, வயிற்றிலிருப்பதுமில்லை, கர்ப்பந்தரிப்பதுமில்லை.

எப்பிராயீமர் வெட்டுண்டுபோனார்கள்; அவர்கள் வேர் உலர்ந்துபோயிற்று, கனிகொடுக்கமாட்டார்கள்; அவர்கள் அவைகளைப் பெற்றாலும், அவர்களுடைய கர்ப்பத்தின் பிரியமான கனிகளை அதம்பண்ணுவேன்.

நான் உன்னைப் பாழாகவும் உன் குடிகளை ஈசலிட்டு நிந்திக்கிற நிந்தையாகவும் வைக்கும்படி, உம்ரியினுடைய கட்டளைகளும் ஆகாப் வீட்டாருடைய எல்லாச் செய்கைகளும் கைக்கொள்ளப்பட்டுவருகிறது; அவர்களுடைய ஆலோசனைகளிலே நடக்கிறீர்கள்; ஆகையால் என் ஜனத்தின் நிந்தையைச் சுமப்பீர்கள்.

இடறல்களினிமித்தம் உலகத்துக்கு ஐயோ, இடறல்கள் வருவது அவசியம். ஆனாலும் எந்த மனுஷனால் இடறல் வருகிறதோ, அவனுக்கு ஐயோ!

இப்படியிருக்க, நாம் இனிமேல் ஒருவரையொருவர் குற்றவாளிகளென்று தீர்க்காதிருப்போமாக. ஒருவனும் தன் சகோதரனுக்கு முன்பாகத் தடுக்கலையும் இடறலையும் போடலாகாதென்றே தீர்மானித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
