பட்டணம் பிடிபட்டதைச் சிம்ரி கண்டபோது, அவன் ராஜாவின் வீடாகிய அரமனைக்குள் பிரவேசித்து, தான் இருக்கிற ராஜ அரமனையைத் தீக்கொளுத்தி, அதிலே செத்தான்.

நகர் வீழ்ச்சியுற்றதைக் கண்டு, சிம்ரி அரண்மனையின் உட்கோட்டைக்குள் புகுந்தான். அந்த அரண்மனைக்குத் தீயிட்டு, தானும் அதில் மாண்டான்.
