அவன் தன்னைப்பார்க்கிலும் நீதியும் நற்குணமுமுள்ள இரண்டுபேராகிய நேரின் குமாரன் அப்னேர் என்னும் இஸ்ரவேலின் படைத்தலைவன் மேலும், ஏதேரின் குமாரன் அமாசா என்னும் யூதாவின் படைத்தலைவன்மேலும் விழுந்து, என் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதுக்குத் தெரியாமல் அவர்களைப் பட்டயத்தால் கொன்ற அவனுடைய இரத்தப்பழியைக் கர்த்தர் அவனுடைய தலையின்மேல் திரும்பப்பண்ணுவாராக.

அவன் தன்னைவிட நீதியும் நற்குணமும் உள்ள இரண்டு பேர்களாகிய நேரின் மகன் அப்னேர் என்னும் இஸ்ரவேலின் படைத்தலைவனையும், ஏதேரின் மகன் அமாசா என்னும் யூதாவின் படைத்தலைவனையும் தாக்கி, என்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதுக்குத் தெரியாமல் அவர்களைப் பட்டயத்தால் கொன்ற அவனுடைய இரத்தப்பழியைக் கர்த்தர் அவனுடைய தலையின்மேல் திரும்பச்செய்வாராக.

யோவாப் அவனைவிட மிகச்சிறந்த இரண்டு பேரைக் கொன்றிருக்கிறான். அவர்கள் நேரின் மகனான அப்னேரும் ஏதேரின் மகனான அமாசாவும் ஆவார்கள். அப்னேர் இஸ்ரவேல் படையின் தளபதியாகவும் அமாசா யூதேயா படையின் தளபதியாகவும் இருந்தனர். அந்தக் காலத்தில் அவர்களை யோவாப்தான் கொன்றான் என்பது என் தந்தையான தாவீதிற்குத் தெரியாது. எனவே கர்த்தர் அவனைக் கொலையுறும்படி தண்டித்துள்ளார்.

இந்த இரத்தப் பழியை ஆண்டவர் அவன் தலைமேலேயே விழச் செய்வாராக! ஏனெனில், அவன் தன்னை விட நேர்மையிலும் பண்பிலும் சிறந்தவர்களான நேரின் மகனும் இஸ்ரயேலின் படைத் தலைவனுமான அப்னேர், எத்தேரின் மகனும் யூதாவின் படைத்தலைவனுமான அமாசா ஆகியோரை என் தந்தை தாவீதுக்குத் தெரியாமல் தாக்கி வாளால் கொன்றான்.
