ராஜா சீமேயியை அழைப்பித்து: நீ வெளியே புறப்பட்டு எங்கேயாவது போகிறநாளிலே சாகவே சாவாய் என்பதை நீ நிச்சயமாய் அறிந்துகொள் என்று நான் உன்னைக் கர்த்தர்மேல் ஆணையிடச் செய்து, உனக்குத் திடச்சாட்சியாகச் சொல்லியிருக்க, அதற்கு நீ: நான் கேட்ட வார்த்தை நல்லதென்று சொல்லவில்லையா?

எனவே சாலொமோன் அவனை அழைத்துவரச் செய்தான். அரசன், “நீ எருசலேமை விட்டுச்சென்றால் கொல்லப்படுவாய் என்று நான் கர்த்தருடைய பேரால் ஆணைச் செய்து உன்னை எச்சரித்துள்ளேன். நீ எங்காவது சென்றால், உன் மரணத்துக்கு உன் தவறே காரணம் என்றும் எச்சரித்திருக்கிறேன். நான் சொன்னதற்கு நீயும் ஒப்புக்கொண்டிருக்கிறாய். எனக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவதாகக் கூறினாய்.

அப்போது அரசர் சிமயியை வரவழைத்து “என்று நீ வெளியேறி வேறெங்காவது போவாயோ, அன்றே நீ கொல்லப்படுவது உறுதி. இதைக் திண்ணமாய் அறிந்து கொள் என்று நான் உனக்கு முன்பே எச்சரிக்கை செய்து, உன்னையும் ஆண்டவர்மேல் ஆணையிடச் செய்யவில்லையா? நீயும் அதற்கு, ‘நல்லது, நீர் சொன்னபடி கேட்கிறேன்’ என்று பதில் கூறவில்லையா?
