மோசே இந்த நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தை எழுதி, அதைக் கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைச் சுமக்கிற லேவிபுத்திரரான ஆசாரியருக்கும் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய மூப்பர் எல்லாருக்கும் ஒப்புவித்து,

பின்பு யோசுவா ஆசாரியர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் உடன்படிக்கைப்பெட்டியை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, ஜனங்களுக்கு முன்னே நடந்து போங்கள் என்றான்; அப்படியே உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு ஜனங்களுக்கு முன்னே போனார்கள்.

கோகாத்தின் புத்திரருக்கோ ஒன்றும் கொடுக்கவில்லை; தோள்மேல் சுமப்பதே அவர்களுக்குரிய பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தின் வேலையாயிருந்தது.

ஜனங்கள் யோர்தானைக் கடந்துபோகத் தங்கள் கூடாரங்களில் இருந்து புறப்பட்டார்கள்; ஆசாரியர்கள் உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியை ஜனங்களுக்கு முன்னே சுமந்து கொண்டுபோய், யோர்தான் மட்டும் வந்தார்கள்.

யோர்தானின் நடுவிலும் உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைச் சுமந்த ஆசாரியரின் கால்கள் நின்ற இடத்திலே யோசுவா பன்னிரண்டு கற்களை நாட்டினான்; அவைகள் இந்நாள்மட்டும் அங்கே இருக்கிறது.

அந்தப்படியே நூனின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவா ஆசாரியரை அழைத்து: உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியை எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோங்கள்; தொனிக்கும் ஏழு எக்காளங்களையும் ஏழு ஆசாரியர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாகப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு போகக்கடவர்கள் என்று சொல்லி;
