கர்த்தருடைய தூதனானவர் அவனுக்குத் தரிசனமாகி: பராக்கிரமசாலியே கர்த்தர் உன்னோடே இருக்கிறார் என்றார்.

அப்பொழுது அவர்: முந்தின அடையாளத்தை அவர்கள் கண்டு, உன்னை நம்பாமலும் உனக்குச் செவிகொடாமலும் போனால், பிந்தின அடையாளத்தைக் கண்டு நம்புவார்கள்.

நீ உயிரோடிருக்கும் நாளெல்லாம் ஒருவனும் உனக்கு முன்பாக எதிர்த்து நிற்பதில்லை: நான் மோசேயோடே இருந்ததுபோல, உன்னோடும் இருப்பேன்; நான் உன்னைவிட்டு விலகுவதுமில்லை, உன்னைக் கைவிடுவதுமில்லை.

பிள்ளையைத் துணிகளில் சுற்றி, முன்னணையில் கிடத்தியிருக்கக்காண்பீர்கள்; இதுவே உங்களுக்கு அடையாளம் என்றான்.

தேவன் பிள்ளையுடனே இருந்தார்; அவன் வளர்ந்து வனாந்தரத்திலே குடியிருந்து, வில்வித்தையிலே வல்லவனானான்.

நீ உன் சத்துருக்களுக்கு எதிராக யுத்தஞ்செய்யப் புறப்பட்டுப் போகையில், குதிரைகளையும் இரதங்களையும், உன்னிலும் பெரிய கூட்டமாகிய ஜனங்களையும் கண்டால், அவர்களுக்குப் பயப்படாயாக; உன்னை எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னோடே இருக்கிறார்.

காலமே சூரியன் உதிக்கையில் எழும்பி, பட்டணத்தின் மேல் விழுந்து, அவனும் அவனோடிருக்கிற ஜனங்களும் உமக்கு எதிரே புறப்படும்போது, உம்முடைய கைக்கு நேரிடுகிறபடி அவனுக்குச் செய்யும் என்று சொல்லியனுப்பினான்.

செய்யும்படி உன் கைக்கு நேரிடுகிறது எதுவோ, அதை உன் பெலத்தோடே செய்; நீ போகிற பாதாளத்திலே செய்கையும் வித்தையும் அறிவும் ஞானமும் இல்லையே.
