இணை வசனம்

அவன் ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாருக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கக்கடவன்; அவனிமித்தம் அந்த ஆசாரியன் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதானத்தில் வந்து, ஊரீம் என்னும் நியாயத்தினாலே ஆலோசனை கேட்கக்கடவன்; அவருடைய கட்டளையின்படியே, அவனும் அவனோடேகூட இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரராகிய சபையார் எல்லாரும் போகவும் அவருடைய கட்டளையின்படியே வரவும் வேண்டியது என்றார்.

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரான அவர்கள் எழும்பி, தேவனுடைய வீட்டிற்குப் போய்: எங்களில் யார் முந்திப் போய் பென்யமீன் புத்திரரோடு யுத்தம்பண்ண வேண்டும் என்று தேவனிடத்தில் விசாரித்தார்கள்; அதற்குக் கர்த்தர்: யூதா முந்திப் போகவேண்டும் என்றார்.

அவர்கள் போய், கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் சாயங்காலமட்டும் அழுது: எங்கள் சகோதரராகிய பென்யமீன் புத்திரரோடே திரும்பவும் யுத்தம் கலக்கப்போவோமா என்று கர்த்தரிடத்தில் விசாரித்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர்; அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் போங்கள் என்றார்.

கர்த்தரிடத்தில் விசாரித்தார்கள்; தேவனுடைய உடன்படிக்கையின் பெட்டி அந்நாட்களில் அங்கே இருந்தது.

ஜனங்கள் திரும்பப் பாளயத்துக்கு வந்தபோது, இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பரானவர்கள், இன்று கர்த்தர் பெலிஸ்தருக்கு முன்பாக நம்மை முறிய அடித்ததென்ன? சீலோவிலிருக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைக் கொண்டுவருவோம்; அது நம்மை நம்முடைய பகைஞரின் கைக்கு விலக்கி ரட்சிக்கும்படி, நம்முடைய நடுவிலே வரவேண்டியது என்றார்கள்.

பெலிஸ்தர் தேவனுடைய பெட்டியைப் பிடித்து, தாகோனின் கோவிலிலே கொண்டுவந்து, தாகோனண்டையிலே வைத்தார்கள்.

அப்படியே கீரியாத்யாரீமின் மனுஷர் வந்து, கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டியை எடுத்து, மேட்டின் மேலிருக்கிற அபினதாபின் வீட்டிலே கொண்டு வந்து வைத்து, கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டியைக் காக்கும்படிக்கு, அவன் குமாரனாகிய எலெயாசாரைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

தாவீது அகிமெலேக்கின் குமாரனாகிய அபியத்தார் என்னும் ஆசாரியனை நோக்கி: ஏபோத்தை என்னிடத்தில் கொண்டுவா என்றான்; அபியத்தார் ஏபோத்தைத் தாவீதினிடத்தில் கொண்டு வந்தான்.

உரியா தாவீதை நோக்கி: பெட்டியும் இஸ்ரவேலும் யூதாவும் கூடாரங்களிலே தங்கி, என் ஆண்டவனாகிய யோவாபும், என் ஆண்டவனின் சேவகரும் வெளியிலே பாளயமிறங்கியிருக்கையில், நான் புசிக்கிறதற்கும், குடிக்கிறதற்கும், என் மனைவியோடே சயனிக்கிறதற்கும், என் வீட்டுக்குள் பிரவேசிப்பேனோ? நான் அப்படிச் செய்கிறதில்லை என்று உம்முடைய பேரிலும் உம்முடைய ஆத்துமாவின்பேரிலும் ஆணையிட்டுச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றான்.

சாதோக்கும் தேவனுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியை அவனோடேகூட இருந்து சுமக்கிற சகல லேவியரும் வந்து, தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை அங்கே வைத்தார்கள்; ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் நகரத்திலிருந்து கடந்துதீருமட்டும், அபியத்தார் திரும்பிப்போயிருந்தான்.
