அப்பொழுது ராஜா: அகிதூபின் குமாரனாகிய அகிமெலேக் என்னும் ஆசாரியனையும், நோபிலிருக்கிற அவன் தகப்பன் வீட்டாராகிய எல்லா ஆசாரியரையும் அழைப்பித்தான்; அவர்களெல்லாரும் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள்.

பிறகு சவுல் சிலரை அனுப்பி ஆசாரியனை அழைத்துவரக் கட்டளையிட்டான். நோப்பில் ஆசாரியர்களாக இருந்த அகிமெலேக்கின் உறவினர்களையும் அழைத்து வர கட்டளையிட்டான். அகிமெலேக்கின் உறவினர்களும் நோப்பில் ஆசாரியர்களாக இருந்தார்கள். அனைவரும் அரசனிடம் வந்தார்கள்.

அதைக்கேட்ட அரசர், அகித்தூபின் மகனாகிய குரு அகிமெலக்கையும், நோபிலிருக்கிற அவர் தந்தையின் குடும்பத்துக் குருக்கள் அனைவரையும் வரவழைத்தார். எல்லாரும் அரசரிடம் வந்தனர்.
