அப்பொழுது தாவீது அப்னேரை நோக்கி: நீர் வீரன் அல்லவா? இஸ்ரவேலில் உமக்குச் சரியானவன் யார்? பின்னை நீர் உம்முடைய ஆண்டவனாகிய ராஜாவைக் காக்காமற்போனதென்ன? ஜனத்தில் ஒருவன் உம்முடைய ஆண்டவனாகிய ராஜாவைக் கொல்லும்படி வந்திருந்தானே.

அப்பொழுது தாவீது அப்னேரை நோக்கி: நீர் வீரன் அல்லவா? இஸ்ரவேலில் உமக்குச் சரியானவன் யார்? பின்னே நீர் உம்முடைய ஆண்டவனாகிய ராஜாவைக் காக்காமல் போனதென்ன? மக்களில் ஒருவன் உம்முடைய ஆண்டவனாகிய ராஜாவைக் கொல்லும்படி வந்திருந்தானே.

தாவீது, “நீ ஒரு மனிதன் தானே? இஸ்ரவேலில் உள்ள பிற மனிதர்களைவிட நீ சிறந்தவன் அல்லவா? நான் சொல்வது சரி என்றால் பின் ஏன் உன் அரசனைக் காக்கவில்லை? உன் அரசனைக் கொல்ல ஒரு சாதாரண மனிதன் உன் கூடாரத்திற்கு வந்தான்.

அப்போது தாவீது அப்னேரிடம், “நீ வீரன் அல்லவா? இஸ்ரயேலில் உனக்கு நிகரானவன் யார்? பின் ஏன் உன் தலைவராகிய அரசரை விழித்திருந்து காக்கவில்லை? மக்களில் ஒருவன் உன் தலைவராகிய அரசரைக் கொல்ல அங்கு வந்தானே!
