அந்தணமே சவுல் நெடிதாங்கிடையாய்த் தரையிலே விழுந்து, சாமுவேலின் வார்த்தைகளினாலே மிகவும் பயப்பட்டான்; அவன் இராப்பகல் முழுதும் ஒன்றும் சாப்பிடாதிருந்தபடியினால், அவன் பலவீனமாயிருந்தான்.

அதை கேட்டவுடனே சவுல் தரையிலே விழுந்து, சாமுவேலின் வார்த்தைகளினாலே மிகவும் பயப்பட்டான்; அவன் அன்று பகல் முழுவதும் ஒன்றும் சாப்பிடாமல் இருந்தபடியால், அவன் பெலவீனமாக இருந்தான்.

சவுல் உடனே தரையில் விழுந்து கிடந்தான். சாமுவேல் சொன்னதைக் கேட்டு மிகவும் பயந்தான். அன்று சவுல் இரவும் பகலும் உண்ணாமல் இருந்ததால் மிகவும் பலவீனமாக இருந்தான்.

சாமுவேலின் வார்த்தைகளினால் அச்சமுற்ற சவுல், உடனே தரையில் நெடுங்கிடையாய் விழுந்தார். மேலும், அவர் இரவு பகலாய் ஒன்றும் உண்ணாது இருந்தமையால் வலிமையற்றிருந்தார்.
