அப்பொழுது சவுல் தன் ஊழியக்காரரை நோக்கி: அஞ்சனம்பார்க்கிற ஒரு ஸ்திரீயைத் தேடுங்கள்; நான் அவளிடத்தில் போய் விசாரிப்பேன் என்றான்; அதற்கு அவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரர்: இதோ, எந்தோரில் அஞ்சனம்பார்க்கிற ஒரு ஸ்திரீ இருக்கிறாள் என்றார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது சவுல் தன்னுடைய ஊழியக்காரர்களைப் பார்த்து: இறந்தவர்களிடத்தில் பேசுகிற ஒரு பெண்ணைத் தேடுங்கள்; நான் அவளிடத்தில் போய் விசாரிப்பேன் என்றான்; அதற்கு அவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரர்கள்: இதோ, எந்தோரில் இறந்தவர்களிடத்தில் பேசுகிற ஒரு பெண் இருக்கிறாள் என்றார்கள்.

கடைசியாக சவுல் தனது அதிகாரிகளிடம், “குறி பார்க்கிற ஒரு பெண்ணை அழைத்து வாருங்கள், போரின் முடிவை அவள் மூலம் அறிந்துகொள்வேன்” என்றான். அவனது அதிகாரிகளோ, “எந்தோரிலே குறிபார்பவள் ஒருவள் இருக்கிறாள்” என்றனர்.

பின்பு, சவுல் தம் பணியாளரிடம், “குறி சொல்லும் ஒரு பெண்ணைத் தேடி என்னிடம் அழைத்து வாருங்கள்; நான் அவளிடம் ஆலோசனைக் கேட்க வேண்டும்” என்றார். அதற்கு அவர்தம் பணியாளர்கள் அவரை நோக்கி, “இதோ ஏன்தோரில் குறி சொல்பவள் ஒருத்தி இருக்கிறாள்” என்றனர்.⒫
