அவன் வந்தபோது: ஏலி ஒரு ஆசனத்தின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்து வழியைப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்தான்; தேவனுடைய பெட்டிக்காக அவன் இருதயம் தத்தளித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தது, ஊரிலே செய்தியை அறிவிக்க அந்த மனுஷன் வந்தபோது, ஊரெங்கும் புலம்பல் உண்டாயிற்று.

அவன் வந்தபோது: ஏலி ஒரு இருக்கையின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்து வழியைப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்தான்; தேவனுடைய பெட்டிக்காக அவனுடைய இருதயம் தத்தளித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தது, ஊரிலே செய்தியை அறிவிக்க அந்த மனிதன் வந்தபோது, ஊரெங்கும் அழுகை உண்டானது.

இந்த மனிதன் சீலோவிற்கு வந்தபொழுது ஏலி நகர வாசல்களுக்கு அருகில் ஒரு நாற்காலியில் அமர்ந்திருந்தான். தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தப் பெட்டியைப் பற்றி ஏலி கவலைப்பட்டு, கவனித்துக் காத்திருந்தான். பிறகு பென்யமீன் குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்த மனிதன் சீலோவுக்கு வந்து அந்தக் கெட்டச் செய்தியைக் கூறினான். நகரிலிருந்த ஜனங்கள் அனைவரும் சத்தமாக அழத் துவங்கினார்கள்.

அவன் வந்தபோது ஏலி வழியோரம் ஓர் இருக்கையில் அமர்ந்து காத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார். ஏனெனில், கடவுளின் பேழையைப் பற்றி அவர் உள்ளம் கலக்கமுற்றிருந்தது. அம் மனிதன் நகரினுள் வந்து செய்தியை அறிவித்தபோது, நகர் முழுவதும் அழுதது,
