இப்போதும் தாவீதுடைய குமாரன் கையிலிருக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய ராஜ்யத்திற்கு விரோதமாக நீங்கள் பெலன்கொள்ளலாமென்று நினைக்கிறீர்கள்; நீங்கள் ஏராளமான கூட்டம்; யெரொபெயாம் உங்களுக்கு தேவர்களாக உண்டாக்கினபொன் கன்றுக்குட்டிகளும் உங்களிடத்தில் இருக்கிறதே.

“இப்போது யெரொபெயாமாகிய நீயும், இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களும் கர்த்தருடைய அரசாட்சிக்கு எதிராக திட்டமிடுகிறீர்கள். கர்த்தருடைய அரசாங்கம் தாவீதின் சந்ததியாருக்கு உரியது. உங்களில் அநேகம் பேர் யெரொபெயாமால் செய்யப்பட்ட பொன் கன்றுக்குட்டிகளை தெய்வங்களாக வழிபடுகின்றீர்கள்.
