அதினிமித்தம் ஆசா ஞானதிருஷ்டிக்காரன்மேல் சினந்து கடுங்கோபங்கொண்டு அவனைக் காவலறையிலே வைத்தான்; இதல்லாமலும் அக்காலத்தில் ஜனங்களுக்குள் சிலரைக் கொடூரமாய் நடப்பித்தான்.

அதனால் ஆசா தரிசனம் காண்கிறவன்மேல் கடுங்கோபங்கொண்டு அவனைக் காவலறையிலே வைத்தான்; இதைத்தவிர அக்காலத்தில் மக்களுக்குள் சிலரைக் கொடூரமாக நடப்பித்தான்.

ஆசாவிற்கு அனானி மீது அவன் பேசிய சொற்களுக்காக கோபம் வந்தது. அவன் எந்தவித காரணமின்றி அனானியைச் சிறையில் அடைத்தான். இக்காலக் கட்டத்தில் ஆசா பலரிடம் கொடூரமாக நடந்துக்கொண்டான்.

இதைக் கேட்ட ஆசா, திருக்காட்சியாளர்மேல் கடும் சினமுற்றான். அவன் எவ்வளவு எரிச்சலுற்றான் எனில், அவரைச் சிறையிலிட்டதோடு, மக்களுள் சிலரையும் கொடுமைப்படுத்தினான்.
